Overview

Resilient Seniors: Ready Together is a regionally tailored digital initiative supporting older Australians in Central Queensland, particularly those living independently, to better prepare for natural disasters and the impacts of climate change, whilst improving primary care providers’ knowledge to better support this.

The project includes co-designed videos and lived-experience stories that share practical strategies and local perspectives, a micro-learning course for primary care providers to strengthen disaster awareness and engagement and a digital toolkit offering accessible resources for older people and service providers.

By amplifying local voices and fostering community resilience, the project aims to improve provider knowledge, enhance engagement, and empower older people to stay safer, connected and informed before, during and after emergencies.
