Overview

The Wide Bay Community Resilience Program strengthens the capacity of older people in the Fraser Coast and Bundaberg regions to plan and prepare for disaster events.

The program focuses on:

  • Creating safe and accessible environments for older residents.
  • Building informal social support networks that enhance connection and confidence.
  • Mapping services and referral pathways to ensure effective access to falls prevention support.

Through program delivery, insights and recommendations will be shared to help maximise the existing falls prevention system, improving its ability to support older people’s capacity to prepare and respond during emergencies.
