Building on a co-designed chronic pain navigation training program, the COMPANION project recruits and trains community health, emergency and social sector workers to deliver Community-tailored Pain Education (COPE) Plans for individuals experiencing chronic pain within their local communities, incorporating a climate health lens.
The project’s core hypothesis is that developing a robust and integrated network of Community Pain Champions and allied partners will build local capacity and collaboration.
This network will foster a culture of continuous community capacity-building and integration, establishing streamlined, resilient referral and collaboration pathways between community and health sectors to ensure these systems can continue to function effectively in preparing for, during and after disasters.
